Why I Still Use Truecaller in 2025 (Yeah, It’s That Good)

Look, I never thought I’d care much about caller ID apps. I mean, if I don’t recognize the number, I just ignore it, right? But then last year, I got slammed with spam calls—like, five or six a day. That’s when a buddy told me to try Truecaller, and honestly? Game-changer.

So here’s the deal: Truecaller isn’t just a regular caller ID app. It’s like your phone’s personal bouncer. It screens unknown numbers, blocks spam automatically, and even shows you who's calling—even if they’re not in your contacts. The newer version (yeah, I updated recently) is even slicker.

Why I actually like using it:

  • Smart Caller ID: It’s crazy how often it correctly tells me who's calling. I once got a job call from a number I didn’t know, and Truecaller actually showed the company name before I picked up. No lie.

  • Spam Blocking (thank God): Robocalls, telemarketers, scammers… gone. The app blocks them before the phone even rings most of the time.

  • Call Recording (optional): They added a new feature where you can record calls (if it’s legal where you are). Super useful if you're like me and always forget what people say.

  • New Interface: The latest update made the app way smoother. It’s cleaner, more modern, and runs faster. Plus, it’s lighter on battery than it used to be.

Honestly, it kinda became part of my phone setup now. I don’t even think about it—it just runs in the background, quietly saving me from a hundred dumb calls a week. And no, it doesn’t mess with your privacy like people used to worry about years ago. You can choose what info you want to share. Totally your call.

If you’ve never used Truecaller, I’d say give it a try. Especially if your phone rings more with spam than actual humans
